Confronting and Acting on Entrenched Gender Gaps in Higher Ed Leadership Despite earning the majority of Ph.D.s for more than a decade, women are underrepresented and underpaid in higher ed leadership positions. These gaps are notably wide at elite universities and are particularly egregious for women of color. In this presentation, we’ll discuss the importance of attending to these gaps, the call to action that the latest data compel, the factors underlying the blocks women encounter in the pipeline to leadership, and what needs to happen to remove these blocks.
