Positions and Disciplines With the Greatest Growth and Decline

 

 

Positions with the greatest growth and decline are based on the percentage change in the number of incumbents reported in each position in CUPA-HR’s Professionals, Staff, and Faculty surveys from 2020-21 to 2021-22.

Analyses included institutions that participated in the survey in both years of the comparison (n = 809 institutions for Professionals, n = 635 for Staff, and n = 672 for Faculty). Faculty disciplines are based on tenure-track incumbents only. The figure excludes research professionals, research assistants, and positions with fewer than 100 incumbents.
