Marie Williams, Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources at North Carolina State University, to Serve as Chair-Elect on CUPA-HR Board of Directors
Marie Williams, associate vice chancellor for human resources at North Carolina State University, has been selected to serve as chair-elect on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2018-19 fiscal year. She will begin her term on July 1.

Williams, a long-time CUPA-HR member, currently serves as an at-large member on the association’s board of directors and in leadership roles on the Budget and Finance Committee and the Public Policy Committee. She participated in CUPA-HR’s Emerging Leaders Program as a participant in 2013 and has served as the program facilitator for the last two years. She has also presented frequently at various CUPA-HR learning events.

“Marie is an outstanding higher education leader.” says CUPA-HR President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Brantley. “I am so pleased that her colleagues have selected her as our next chair-elect.”

Williams’ higher education career in human resources spans over 15 years. She has served North Carolina State University for nearly two years and previously held HR and chief administrative leadership positions with Ball State University and Fisk University. She was also honored as an American Council for Education Fellow in 2010.
