Amanda Bailey, Vice President for Human Resources at Boston University, to Serve as Chair-Elect on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Amanda Bailey, vice president for human resources at Boston University, has been elected to serve as chair-elect of the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2024-25 fiscal year. She will then serve as chair of the board for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Her term begins on July 1.

Bailey served as an at-large member of the CUPA-HR national board from 2020 to 2023 and currently serves on CUPA-HR’s Public Policy Committee. She has also been an active member of CUPA-HR’s Governance Task Force and Learning and Professional Development Committee and chaired the National Awards Committee in 2021-22 and the Research Advisory Committee in 2022-23.

“Amanda has been a human resources leader for CUPA-HR for many years and will be an extraordinary representative for our association,” shares CUPA-HR National Board Chair Jami Painter.

Bailey has 25 years of experience in human resources, with 15 of those years spent in higher ed HR leadership roles, and she looks forward to serving on the board in the coming year. “I’m honored to advance the great work of CUPA-HR in this capacity working with many colleagues across the country. It is an incomparable professional opportunity.”
