CUPA-HR President and CEO to Serve on EDUCAUSE Board of Directors

Andy Brantley, president and chief executive officer of CUPA-HR, has been appointed to the board of directors of EDUCAUSE, the association for technology in higher education, beginning January 2024. His previous EDUCAUSE service includes membership on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force in 2018.

“The partnership between higher education chief HR officers and chief information officers is critically important, and the same is true for CUPA-HR and EDUCAUSE as the organizations that represent these campus leaders,” Brantley said. “I am honored to serve on the EDUCAUSE board to help advance the strategic use of technology and data to further the promise of higher education.”

Brantley has served as president and CEO of CUPA-HR since July 2005. He currently serves as co-chair of the Washington Higher Education Secretariat steering committee and is the Secretariat’s representative to the American Council on Education Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment at CUPA-HR, he served as associate vice president and chief human resources officer at the University of Georgia, assistant vice president and director of human resources at Davidson College, and director of human resources at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He began his professional career as a labor relations representative for the Chrysler Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management from the University of Georgia.
