On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, signifying that we are in the midst of a global disease outbreak for which there is little or no immunity in the human population. The response of higher ed institutions has been swift and evolving, and many continue to explore the impact of extended breaks, expanded online learning, work-from-home directives, and the personal pressures facing faculty, staff and students.
In this webinar, our presenters will share information about the implications of COVID-19 responses for several key employment issues, including:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Considerations for ADA-covered employees
- Collective Bargaining: Union agreement provisions, employer flexibility, and force-majeure clauses
- HR Strategy: Preparation and resources that go into the workforce planning and crisis management, the role of HR in strategy development and institutional implementation and coordination, and HR leadership and emotional support for the organization and employees
- Paid Leave: Implications of the paid-leave provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
Presenters will reserve time for questions from attendees. Not sure if you can attend? Register now, and you’ll be notified via email when the recording is available.
