A Framework for Advancing Anti-Racism Strategy on Campus

Thursday, March 2 | 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET

Sponsored by

In 2020, our nation experienced a rise in violent incidents targeting the Black community, including the murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. In addition, the pandemic made apparent health inequities that disproportionately impact Black and Brown communities. In response, higher ed institutions and corporations across the country issued statements of commitment to address racial inequities. The National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education convened a task force and in 2021 published a framework calling for structural changes in campus policies, procedures and practices to advance anti-racism strategies in higher education. The framework addresses 10 priority areas and offers a foundation to transform our institutions of higher education into the organizations they aspire to be. This webinar will introduce participants to the framework and identify areas of concern and areas of effort for structural and systemic change to move institutions toward racial equity.
