Leanne Fuller, Associate Athletic Director, Human Resources at Auburn University, Receives CUPA-HR’s National Distinguished Service Award

Leanne Fuller, associate athletic director, human resources at Auburn University has been selected to receive the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) 2023 Distinguished Service Award for outstanding leadership of CUPA-HR and higher education HR. CUPA-HR is pleased to make a $4,000 contribution to the institution of Leanne’s choice.

Fuller has served in many CUPA-HR leadership positions, including president of the Alabama Chapter; chair, chapter liaison, corporate partners liaison and membership outreach coordinator on the Southern Region board; and most recently as Southern Region representative on the national board. She has also served on the association’s Learning and Professional Development and Public Policy Committees, the Engagement/Alignment Task Force, and as a volunteer leader for the Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders program.

“Leanne is a leader that inspires others to reach beyond their best through high expectations, appropriate support and encouragement,” shares Chris McClendon, director of human resources at Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Auburn University. “She is deeply committed to the association and is an advocate of the higher education human resources profession.”
