Kelli Shuman, Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Elon University, Reelected as Treasurer on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Kelli Shuman, associate vice president and chief human resources officer at Elon University, has been elected to serve a second term as treasurer on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). She will serve a three-year term beginning on July 1.

Shuman, a long-time CUPA-HR member, has held multiple leadership positions with CUPA-HR, including her current term as treasurer on the national board and as an at-large member of the national board from 2017 to 2020. She has also served on CUPA-HR’s Budget and Finance committee, as chair and treasurer for the Midwest Region board of directors, and as a facilitator for the Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders program.

“Kelli is an outstanding CUPA-HR and higher education HR leader,” shares CUPA-HR President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Brantley. “We are so pleased that she will serve another three-year term as the association’s treasurer.”

With a higher ed HR career spanning 18 years, Shuman currently leads a team of 25 HR professionals at Elon University. She shares, “I truly love being able to work with such wonderful colleagues across the country and being able to make an impact on what the future of higher education human resources will look like.”
