Larry Robertson, Senior Compensation and HR Consultant, Receives CUPA-HR’s National Distinguished Service Award

Larry Robertson has been selected to receive the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) 2022 Distinguished Service Award for outstanding leadership. Thanks to the generous support of UKG, CUPA-HR is pleased to make a $4,000 contribution to the Collin County Community College District.

Robertson has served in CUPA-HR leadership roles since 2006, including president of the CUPA-HR Oklahoma Chapter; chair of the Southern Region board; and a member of the national board, where he also served on the Learning and Professional Development, National Awards, Public Policy, and Research Advisory committees. For three years, he was also a CUPA-HR Annual Conference Ambassador, where he shared his wealth of knowledge with conference newcomers.

“Larry has been a model and an inspiration in his service to the higher education human resources profession,” says Leanne Fuller, director of human resource services at Auburn University and current CUPA-HR national board member. “He embodies CUPA-HR’s values in serving the community with a commitment to belonging, innovation, service excellence and integrity. He justly deserves this recognition based on his service to CUPA-HR and the profession.”

After more than 21 years in higher education HR, over five years with Collin County Community College and 16 years with Oklahoma City Community College, Robertson has embarked on a consulting career.
