The unemployment rate is at an all-time low, especially in higher education, which means we are increasingly competing for a relatively small pool of talent at our institutions. As our nation’s demographics continue to evolve, we must seek talent from new sources and create more inclusive environments to ensure their success. Failure to do so means losing that talent to your competition.

Despite a shrinking budget, Kansas State University’s Talent Solutions Team has been able to develop tools to build its institutional brand as a diverse and inclusive workplace, and use data to help make informed recruitment and hiring decisions. Based on Kansas State’s experience, this webinar will offer suggestions for:

  • Showcasing diversity through institutional branding and social media
  • Identifying metrics for best diversity hiring practices
  • Incorporating diversity-and-inclusion principles into the candidate-to-new-hire process
