As higher ed institutions face pressure to increase retention and provide more remote work opportunities, many institutions are responding by recruiting and hiring employees who live and work out of state. This webinar will provide results from CUPA-HR's Multi-State Workforce Survey administered in February asking institutions to provide information about employees who live and work out of state.  Topics covered will include:

  • The proportion of institutions that are hiring employees who live and work out of state
  • Characteristics of employees who live and work out of state
  • Policies and practices in place for employees who live and work out of state
  • The challenges that institutions are facing regarding employees who live and work out of state
  • Clemson University’s experience in employing faculty and staff who live and work out of state

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss ways to address challenges and improve policies and procedures involving employees who live and work out of state.
