More About Working at CUPA-HR

CUPA-HR is the national association for human resource professionals at colleges and universities. Our membership includes almost 2,000 organizations and over 33,000 organizational representatives. As employers, colleges and universities face many unique workforce challenges, and our mission is to provide the leadership, resources, learning opportunities and connections to enable our members to lead on campus. At CUPA-HR, we monitor trends, explore emerging workforce issues, conduct research, advocate on a federal level, and promote strategic discussions among colleges and universities. We believe in championing diversity and inclusion, striving for continuous innovation, upholding the highest levels of service, and maintaining integrity in everything we do. We are located in beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, which is known for great music, a fantastic culinary scene and is one of the Southeast’s Best Adventure Towns.

CUPA-HR is a small, close-knit staff of 29 professionals. The atmosphere is one of collaboration and inclusiveness, where differences in thought and experience are embraced and celebrated.

Physical and mental well-being is also a priority at CUPA-HR. We even have a fitness facility in our office for our team to use. We believe in flexibility in where and how we work, with a focus on outcomes and service to our members.

Benefits for regular, full-time employees consist of paid leave with 12 paid holidays and a generous vacation policy; company-paid basic life insurance and company premium-sharing on medical and dental benefits; mandatory 5% employee contribution to a retirement savings plan, plus an automatic 10% company contribution (yes, that’s 15% a year!); and a casual dress code and flexible work schedule that includes Fridays off during the summer.

CUPA-HR is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, handicap, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
