DataOnDemand (DOD) is an annual subscription service that uses the data collected in CUPA-HR’s annual surveys to provide critical data to higher ed HR professionals and other campus leaders. It’s an essential tool for making informed decisions about faculty and staff compensation, benefits, flexible work, department size, staffing ratios, and more.

DataOnDemand (DOD) reports let you:

  • Benchmark against custom comparison groups you choose based either on institution characteristics (e.g., size, location, classification) or your own pre-determined list.
  • Compare your own institution’s data side-by-side with your comparison group data when you participate in CUPA-HR’s annual surveys.

All DOD reports provide output via HTML/Webpage or PDF, and many reports can be downloaded in CSV/Excel format. Here are a few sample reports:

DOD subscriptions run from mid-February to mid-February, regardless of when the subscription is purchased.

During the subscription year, you can generate an unlimited number of reports. Pricing for DOD subscriptions is based on whether your institution participated in the surveys and whether your institution is a member of CUPA-HR. The Data Use Agreement outlines data confidentiality practices and how data can and cannot be used.

Only higher ed institutions can purchase DOD subscriptions. Access to purchased subscriptions is usually managed by a designee in your institution’s HR office. If you are in a position outside of HR and wish to access CUPA-HR data, contact your HR department first to see what data they can provide.
