DataOnDemand

What Is DataOnDemand?

DataOnDemand (DOD) is an application that puts our signature higher ed workforce survey data in your hands. With DOD, you can benchmark your institution’s data against that of peer groups you define, on topics such as:

DataOnDemand Reports

Most DOD reports can be downloaded in either PDF or CSV/Excel format.

How It Works

  • Only higher ed institutions can purchase DOD. Only the chief HR officer (or the CHRO's designee) can authorize and assign access to the application.
  • DOD is a subscription service that runs from mid-February to mid-February, regardless of the date of purchase. (Pricing is not prorated if ordered later in the subscription year.)

  • Subscriptions are sold separately for each of CUPA-HR's signature surveys, and a separate subscription is required for each institution.
  • A subscription provides access to the current year's data, as well as all previous years.
  • The Data Use Agreement outlines how DOD data can and cannot be used.
  • CUPA-HR protects the anonymity of all data at both the institutional and employee levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who has access to DOD?

After your institution purchases a DOD subscription, your chief HR officer (or the CHRO's designee) determines who is authorized to access the application and generate reports. Learn more about how access is granted.

How long will we have access to the survey data through DOD?

Users will be able to access data from the date of purchase until mid-February of the following year. During that time, they'll also have access to data for the same survey for all prior years the survey has been conducted in the modern era (back to 2003 for most surveys).

Are there limits to the information we can access?

Use of DOD is limited only by the restrictions put in place to protect the confidentiality of participating institutions. For example, you will not be able to view specific data reported by an institution other than your own.
