Laurita Thomas, Associate Vice President for Human Resources at the University of Michigan, to Serve on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Laurita Thomas, associate vice president for human resources at University of Michigan, has been tapped to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). She will join the board on July 1.

Thomas has been a member of CUPA-HR for 16 years and recently participated on the task force charged with developing the association’s learning framework. She has worked in HR for 40 years, 20 of which have been spent in higher education. Thomas has presented at countless conferences and meetings on various HR- and diversity-related topics and has been honored by numerous organizations for her leadership and service.
