Larry Farmer, Retired HR Officer at Catawba College, Receives Honorary Life Membership in CUPA-HR
Larry Farmer, former human resources officer at Catawba College, has received honorary life membership in the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Honorary life membership is the highest honor for recognizing retired CUPA-HR members who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to the higher education human resources profession and long-term leadership in the association.
Farmer has served in several leadership roles in CUPA-HR over the past 14 years. He served on the board of directors of the association’s North Carolina Chapter for eight years, including two terms as chair. He sat for several years on the CUPA-HR Southern Region board of directors, where he served as chair in 2011-12, and on the national board of directors in 2013-14. Farmer has also served on several association committees and was the recipient of the CUPA-HR Distinguished Service Award in 2016.
Farmer retired in May from Catawba College after 20 years.
