Josh Mackey, HR Director at Metropolitan State University of Denver, to Serve as Chair of CUPA-HR’s Western Region Board of Directors

Josh Mackey, director of human resources at Metropolitan State University of Denver, has been tapped to serve as chair of the Western Region board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2016-17 fiscal year. He will begin his term on July 1.

Mackey began his volunteer leadership in CUPA-HR as a member of the association’s Arizona Chapter board, where he served in several roles over the course of nine years, including president in 2013-14. He has also presented at local and national CUPA-HR conferences and served on the association’s think tank on HR transformation, learning and professional development committee and public policy committee. 

Prior to joining MSU Denver, Mackey served in progressively responsible HR roles for nearly 18 years with the Maricopa Community College District.
