John Whelan, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Baylor University, to Serve on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

John Whelan, vice president and chief human resources officer at Baylor University, has been tapped to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). He will join the board on July 1.

Whelan has been a member of CUPA-HR for 11 years. He has presented on the topic of HR transformation at CUPA-HR conferences and has contributed to the association’s The Higher Education Workplace magazine. He has worked in HR for 18 years, 11 of which have been spent in higher education.

On June 30, Whelan will transition from Baylor to Indiana University, where he will serve as associate vice president for human resources.
