Dr. David Blake, Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer at Seattle Colleges, to Serve as Chair of CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Dr. David Blake, vice chancellor and chief HR officer at Seattle Colleges, has been tapped to serve as chair of the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2016-17 fiscal year. He will begin his term on July 1.

Blake, a long-time CUPA-HR member, has served in several leadership roles at the chapter, region and national levels of the association, including a two-year term as chair of the Southern California Chapter and a term as chair of the Western Region board of directors, as well as a member of the national board. He’s also served on the association’s learning and professional development, public policy, and budget and finance committees. In addition, Blake has presented at countless CUPA-HR regional and national conferences and participated in CUPA-HR’s Creating Inclusive Communities multimedia project.

Blake has more than 30 years of HR experience in the healthcare industry, government and higher education.
