CUPA-HR’s Spring Conferences Cancelled Due to Growing Threat Posed by COVID-19

CUPA-HR’s 2020 spring conferences in Savannah and Minneapolis have been cancelled due to the growing threat posed by the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. As an alternative, CUPA-HR will host a virtual conference taking place April 20-21. In addition, the preconference DataOnDemand (DOD) Labs will be moved to a digital format, taking place March 30 and April 15.

CUPA-HR staff have been closely monitoring coronavirus developments and working with hotel partners to ensure that every precaution is being taken for the 2020 conferences. The first priority, as always for CUPA-HR events, is the safety and well-being of attendees, speakers, corporate partners and staff.

However, the coronavirus shows no signs of slowing in the near future, and an increasing number of institutions have decided – out of an abundance of caution – to restrict travel. Furthermore, it is critically important for CUPA-HR members, many of whom are on the front lines of institutional planning and response, to be on their campuses as developments unfold.

Those who are registered for the spring conference will receive registration refund information via email from CUPA-HR. These individuals will need to cancel their own hotel and travel reservations.

CUPA-HR has published an event cancellation FAQ. Please direct additional questions to CUPA-HR at [email protected].
