Chris Byrd, Vice President for Human Resources at University of South Carolina, to Serve as Treasurer on the CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Chris Byrd, chief human resources officer at University of South Carolina, has been appointed to serve a three-year term as treasurer on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). He will begin his term on July 1.

Byrd has been a member of CUPA-HR for four years and has served on the association’s learning and professional development committee, the CUPA-HR/NACUBO join task force and on the national board as an at-large member. He has worked in HR for nearly 32 years – 20 in state government and 12 in higher education.
