Barbara Abercrombie, Vice President for HR and Organizational Effectiveness at Texas A&M University, to Serve on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Barbara Abercrombie, vice president of human resources and organizational effectiveness and chief human resources officer at Texas A&M University, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). She will join the board on July 1.

Abercrombie has been a member of CUPA-HR since 2004 and has served as president of the association’s Oklahoma Chapter. She’s also been a guide in the Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders program, which readies individuals for leadership positions in the association.

She has worked in human resources for nearly 15 years. Prior to her current role at Texas A&M University, she served as associate vice chancellor for administration at the University of Arkansas, director of human resources at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, and director and affirmative action officer at Northeastern State University.
