Employment laws and the interpretation of those laws are often a moving target for HR professionals. Add to that the challenges of navigating and complying with those laws in a higher ed setting, and things can get even more complicated.

In this virtual workshop with Ira Shepard, CUPA-HR’s general counsel and a labor and employment lawyer in Washington, D.C., you’ll join other participants in a 90-minute problem-solving session based around employment-law topics gathered through our online poll of workshop registrants. This is a great opportunity to tap into Ira’s 40+ years of experience and his insight into the unique implications for higher ed HR.

Before he tackles your topics, Ira will prime the pump for the first 30 minutes of the workshop with details of three new and controversial higher ed employment cases. Based on the facts, see if you can determine how the case played out, and then hear Ira’s takeaways to avoid similar litigation on your campus. (If you attended Ira’s workshop in March, take note – these are all-new cases!)

Tell Us What You’d Like to Know

Please take a moment to tell us what employment law topics and cases you want to learn more about. Ira will use your responses to inform his presentation.
