General Information for Sponsors

Register Your Company Representatives by May 24

CUPA-HR will make hotel reservations on your behalf for Wednesday, July 10, Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12. If you would like to stay any other nights, please e-mail Shiona Christensen at schristensen@cupahr.org.

All corporate partners are asked to arrive by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 10. Should you arrive in time, CUPA-HR will be hosting a dinner at Gordon Biersch at 6:00 p.m. You are welcome to attend.

Who Attends the ALP?

Individuals invited to participate in the ALP include incoming leaders from the national, regional and chapter levels. All national board members are invited. All incoming regional board members are invited, as well as one Emerging CUPA-HR Leader selected by each region board and four Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders selected by the national board. Each chapter is invited to send two officers. And, participants in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Wildfire Program will attend. National office staff and ALP corporate partners who support the leadership program also attend.

Location and Travel Information

The ALP will be held at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center. For more information and a link, visit the ALP Hotel page. Tempe is on  Mountain Standard Time year-round (most of Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings Time).

Airport — Hotel Ground Transportation

Complimentary transportation from/to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center is provided from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Please collect your baggage and then board the shuttle.

What to Pack

Tempe is hot (average temperature is 105° F). Dress for all ALP events is casual. Shorts, slacks and other comfortable clothing are appropriate. You may want to pack a sweater for air-conditioned meeting rooms.
