DOL Issues New FAQs on COVID-19

July 21, 2020 (WASHINGTON INSIDER ALERT) - Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) released additional frequently asked questions (FAQs) related to COVID-19 and employer responsibilities under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). WHD has also produced a Fact Sheet for Employers and a poster that fulfill notice requirements for employers obligated to inform employees of their FFCRA rights; Questions and Answers about posting requirements; and simple Quick Benefits Tips to determine how much paid leave the FFCRA allows workers to take.
