How Webinars Work
The CUPA-HR Webinars are Web site enabled seminars running much like a teleconference. Our seminars use your computer’s Web site browser to display slide presentations and audio.
Audio may also be available on your computer’s speakers, so phoning in may be unnecessary. To test your computer's streaming audio capabilities, please click here.
You can join a Webinar in one or two simple steps:
- Log On: Each Webinar will have a specific Web address that will be sent to you via e-mail the day before the event. Using this address, log in to connect to the live presentation. You may also hear the audio portion via the Web if your computer offers sound capability.
- Listen In: If your computer does not have sound capabilities, you will be able to phone in and listen to the presentation. Instructions and phone numbers will be included in your information packet sent to you via e-mail the day before the event.
Dates, Times & Formats
CUPA-HR schedules Webinars on select Thursdays from September through June. The presentations begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Generally, each 45-minute presentation is followed by a 15-minute question/answer period. You can pose questions on the phone or by e-mail on your Webinar screen. Along with Web address and phone number access information and handouts will also be sent to the participants via e-mail the day prior to the presentation.
Webinars are cross-platform friendly and can be viewed on virtually any computer with an Internet connection. We suggest testing to see if your system is compatible with our Webinar services by clicking here.
Registration
You can register for any or all of the 2008-09 Webinars by completing an online registration.
Webinar registration must be completed by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time the day prior to the program. Please note: For the September 11 Webinar, registration must be completed by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 9.
If you are interested in a Webinar that has already passed, don't worry! You haven't missed your chance to learn from our great speakers. Each program is recorded and archived. Simply complete the online registration and select the Webinar you missed. Archive access information will be sent to you upon registration and payment.
If you registered for a Webinar but missed the presentation, please contact
CUPA-HR Member Service, as you are eligible to receive the archived program and materials.
