We want your input! Please join us for a preconference roundtable to discuss and provide feedback regarding the association’s draft position statement and action plan: Inclusion Cultivates Excellence. We’re excited to be putting into words and action our long-held belief that inclusive workplace practices not only enhance the diversity of ideas and contributions made by faculty and staff, but also are critical to achieving excellence in our institutions.
Facilitating the conversation will be a member of the national board’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and Alma Clayton-Pedersen. Alma is the executive vice president of Emeritus Consulting Group and senior scholar at the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) where she recently retired from her position as senior vice president. She is a national leader in the areas of diversity and organizational development and has worked in higher education for 30 years. Alma is working closely with CUPA-HR to draft our position statement and action plan. We look forward to sharing these documents with you and getting your feedback to help us strengthen them.
