Airport

Tampa, Florida, is served by Tampa International Airport (TPA), which provides service to 24 commercial airlines. TPA is approximately eight miles from the Marriott Tampa Waterside.

Transportation

The conference hotel recommends using Super Shuttle (reserve by calling 727-572-1111); fee: $12 one-way. The estimated taxi fare is $22 (one-way) from TPA. Hertz provides the onsite car rental for the conference hotel (reserve by calling 813-226-4205).

Driving Directions from TPA: Take I-275 North for six miles to downtown Exit-44. Follow signs to Convention Center & Harbour Island. The hotel is 12 blocks ahead, adjacent to the Tampa Convention Center.

Onsite valet parking at the hotel is $20/day and self parking is available at South Regional Parking Garage across the street for $5-$15.

What to Wear

Conference dress is business casual. Friday’s event is casual. Pack a light sweater or jacket; hotel meeting rooms tend to be chilly.

Recertification

CUPA-HR Southern Region Conference 2010 has been submitted to the HRCI for pre-approval. Be sure to keep appropriate materials, especially a copy of the final program, to document your attendance. The program certification code will be distributed at the Tuesday lunch. Single-day registrants should check with the CUPA-HR Registration/Information Desk to obtain the code. Attendees must submit the code to HRCI and/or to the association that provided your certification. If you have any questions, contact your certifying organization.

Nonsmoking Policy

In accordance with CUPA-HR policy, smoking is prohibited at all CUPA-HR regional conference functions. The Marriott Tampa Waterside is a smoke-free hotel.
