HR Run for the Roses: A Triple Crown Event

2009 CUPA-HR Southern Region ConferenceMark your calendars for a Triple Crown Event! Join your higher ed HR colleagues in Louisville, Kentucky, for the 2009 Southern Region Conference, May 17-20. The theme for this year's conference is "HR Run for the Roses: A Triple Crown Event.” While you’re taking in the engaging keynote speakers, relevant and diverse educational sessions and the many regional networking opportunities this conference has to offer, we hope that you’ll also take in the sights and sounds of Louisville. Louisville is known for the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs, but it also offers all the excitement of a big city while still keeping to its scenery and beauty.

The Monday night off-site event will take place at the Kentucky Derby Museum located at historic Churchill Downs. You will have access to the interactive exhibits, fine art, the stories of legends and artifacts. View races from as far back as 1918, test your trivia knowledge, watch the award-winning 360-degree film, and visit with the retired thoroughbred and resident "mini" Winston.

Our welcome reception at the Muhammad Ali Center will be different than in past years. We have made this a very laid back and casual event — no awards, no meeting, no fuss — so that you can enjoy this inspirational and exciting attraction while catching up with colleagues and preparing for the days ahead. Join us at this "Post Parade" Welcome Reception!

Be sure to check with your certifying organization about receiving Continuing Education credits for attending this conference. Most CUPA-HR contact hours are accepted by other organizations — find out more. For more ways to justify your attendance at this year's conference, view our Conference Justification Tips.

Thank you to the Southern Region Board and the Conference Committee members for all their hard work!
