
CUPA-HR’s Public Policy Agenda
The Public Policy Committee establishes recommended positions and priorities on legislative and regulatory issues impacting CUPA-HR members. In crafting its recommendations, the Public Policy Committee relies on input from CUPA-HR’s chief government relations officer and CUPA-HR members. The committee submits its recommendations for the full board’s approval.

The Public Policy Statement serves as the roadmap for our advocacy in Washington, D.C. The association’s chief government relations officer, located in Washington, D.C., monitors regulatory and legislative developments and works with policy makers and other associations to advance issues of importance to CUPA-HR members*. CUPA-HR provides a variety of public policy communications to keep members up-to-date on the latest happenings on Capitol Hill and CUPA-HR’s advocacy efforts, including:

* In addition to on-going efforts by CUPA-HR to keep its members aware of developments in public policy, the association sometimes incurs expenses to advocate on behalf of its members. These advocacy expenses are categorized by not-for-profit organizations as 501(h) activities and are a negligible portion (.19%) of CUPA-HR’s total dues revenue.
