Jamie Tanner, Employee Relations Manager at Valdosta State University, to Serve as Chair of CUPA-HR’s Southern Region Board of Directors

Jamie Tanner, employee relations manager at Valdosta State University, has been tapped to serve as chair of the Southern Region board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2016-17 fiscal year. He will begin his term on July 1.

Tanner has been a member of CUPA-HR for almost 10 years and has served in several leadership roles at both the chapter and regional levels of the association, including a term as president of the CUPA-HR Georgia Chapter. In addition, Tanner has served on CUPA-HR’s learning and professional development committee and has presented at several CUPA-HR region and national conferences and programs. He also participated in CUPA-HR’s Creating Inclusive Communities multimedia project. 

Tanner has worked in higher education human resources for 10 years.
