Jack VanHoorelbeke, Assistant General Counsel/Chief HR Officer at Saginaw Valley State University, to Serve as Chair of CUPA-HR’s Midwest Region Board of Directors

Jack VanHoorelbeke, assistant general counsel/chief human resources officer at Saginaw Valley State University, has been tapped to serve as chair of the Midwest Region board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2016-17 fiscal year. He will begin his term on July 1.

VanHoorelbeke has been a member of CUPA-HR for eight years and has served in several leadership roles, including chair and treasurer, on the association’s Michigan Chapter. He has served on the Midwest Region board since 2013. 

VanHoorelbeke has worked in higher education human resources for eight years. Prior to joining SVSU in 2008, he worked for several years as an attorney in the private sector.
