2010 HR Benchmarking and Workforce Planning Survey Now Open for Data Collection

We are now collecting data for the just completed 2009-10 fiscal year for CUPA-HR’s 2010 HR Benchmarking and Workforce Planning Survey. This survey, conducted for the first time last year, is designed to gather information that will enable an HR department to compare its organization’s structure, size, responsibilities and performance to that of HR departments at peer colleges and universities. Data are also being collected about each institution’s workforce, including turnover rate, hiring rate, cost of searches and training.
We’ve made some changes to this year’s survey, making it even easier to complete. Special thanks go to our colleagues at Sibson Consulting, A Division of Segal, for their support of the survey. Survey results will be available through DataOnDemand (DOD) and will be priced as follows: $50 for CUPA-HR member participants; $150 for non-member participants and $300 for non-participants. Pricing is intended to encourage both participation and use, as we believe that this survey will be an important tool to help HR organizations understand and improve their effectiveness.
The HR Benchmarking and Workforce Planning Survey should be completed by those at the director level and above. If you are the director of HR or the CHRO at your institution and you did not receive an e-mail invitation to participate in this year’s survey but would like to, send an e-mail to research@cupahr.org. If you are not the HR director or CHRO of your institution, we hope you’ll share this information with him or her!
