September 13, 2006
Results can now be ordered for CUPA-HR's 2006 Comprehensive Survey of College and University Benefits Programs.
Participation in the survey this year was the highest yet. A total of 423 institutions, including 13 systems reporting in the aggregate for all of their schools, completed Benefits I (Employee Health Care and Other Benefits), providing data for 540 schools. Benefits II (Retiree Health Care) was completed by 149 institutions, including 10 systems reporting in the aggregate, providing data for 249 schools. The revised survey and greater participation should make this year's survey results more useful than ever. Health care plans covered in the survey include consumer-driven health care, PPO, HMO, POS and traditional indemnity. “Other” benefits covered include basic life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans, time-off plans, relocation and housing, and tuition support.
