2010 HR Benchmarking and Workforce Planning Survey Now Open for Data Collection(7/14/2010)

This survey, conducted for the first time last year, is designed to gather information that will enable an HR department to compare its organization’s structure, size, responsibilities and performance to that of HR departments at peer colleges and universities. Data are also being collected about each institution’s workforce, including turnover rate, hiring rate, cost of searches and training.

Board Approves Proposed Bylaws Revisions Restructuring National Board of Directors(7/14/2010)

At its July 9 meeting, CUPA-HR’s national board of directors approved proposed revisions to the association’s bylaws that change the structure of the national board. Key representatives from CUPA-HR member institutions will have a chance to vote on the proposed changes at the business meeting at the Annual Conference and Expo 2010 this fall.

ALP Attendees Get a Sneak Peek at CUPA-HR’s New Online Member Community(7/14/2010)

The 119 CUPA-HR volunteer leaders, key corporate partners and national office staff who converged on Nashville, Tennessee, July 9-10 for the annual Association Leadership Program (ALP) were thrilled to see a demo of the new online community for CUPA-HR members. A cross between Facebook, LinkedIn and more traditional forums, the CUPA-HR community will be rolled out to all members in the fall. But online networking was only a small part of the two-day event. From association megatrends to board competencies, from networking with other volunteers to connecting with key corporate partners, attendees had the opportunity to absorb loads of information and share valuable insights of their own.
