Mark your calendars for the 2010 Midwest Region Conference, April 11-14 in Minneapolis, Minnesota! The theme for our conference is “Targeting Innovation” and will take place at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center. Our theme this year ties into the location of our conference, which both Target and 3M call home. Both of these companies represent innovation and will definitely set the tone for an innovative conference!
As if the diverse line-up of educational sessions isn’t enough to bring you to Minneapolis, the keynote speakers certainly should! Web 2.0 expert Gardner Campbell, management consultant Margaret Morford and inspirational speakers Nick and Carolyn Ryberg all bring a unique perspective and will inspire you to do great things at your institution. This conference also brings great networking opportunities with others in your region. Check this website often for new information and updates.
Our Tuesday night off-site event will take place at the Mill City Museum. An attraction for all ages, Mill City Museum chronicles the flour milling industry that dominated world flour production for roughly a half-century and fueled the growth of Minneapolis, recognized across the nation and around the world as “Mill City.” Built within the ruins of a National Historic Landmark — the Washburn A Mill — the museum provides a multi-sensory, interactive journey. The story of flour milling — and its impact on Minneapolis, the nation and the world — comes to life through the eight-story Flour Tower and other hands-on exhibits.
