Based on a recent Harvard Business Review article written with Dr. Peter Cappelli titled "The Performance Management Revolution," Dr. Anna Tavis in this workshop will provide a framework for creating impactful, meaningful people-development processes that eliminate or significantly change the traditional performance appraisal. Explore the latest performance management strategies, identify what immediate and effective changes need to occur on campus, and learn how to work with key stakeholders to ensure consensus and consistent practices. Dr. Tavis will be joined by several higher ed HR leaders who will share their current performance management experiences and strategies, as well as their successes and struggles.

Dr. Anna Tavis is an associate professor of human capital management at New York University, senior lecturer at Latin American Business School, senior fellow with The Conference Board and an executive director for the Innovation Radar Network with Executive Networks. Dr. Tavis is a Senior Editor of People+Strategy Journal a publication of HRPS, SHRM's executive network. She is an author and keynote speaker, a former board member of HRPS and an advisor to mature and start-up organizations. Over the years, Dr. Tavis has navigated a diverse global career in business, consulting and academia.
