CUPA-HR Cares: Recycling Soap Products

Sponsored by: TIAA-CREF

Will you be in Orlando for the conference? If so, we invite you to help “clean the world” as part of the CUPA-HR Cares service project with Clean the World. This year’s service project has two components:

Saturday, September 24

Volunteer to Recycle Soap Products: With help from Clean the World — a nonprofit association that distributes recycled soap products to impoverished countries worldwide and homeless shelters in the United States — conference attendees have the opportunity to visit the organization’s facility in Orlando. While there, participants will learn about the organization, enjoy a meal together, and help sanitize, grind and package soap products for shipment.

Throughout the Conference

Recycle Soap From the Conference Hotel: Even if you can’t join us on Saturday before the conference, you can still help “clean the world.” During the conference, CUPA-HR has arranged for the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek to collect all gently used amenities from the entire hotel on behalf of our conference attendees. Those amenities will be recycled at the Clean the World facility and distributed to those in need.

Reserve Your Space

There is no cost for you to be a part of the CUPA-HR Cares service project, but registration is necessary. You can reserve your space when you register for the conference. To ensure that as many people as possible can participate, we ask each volunteer to select only one of the two time blocks. There are 44 volunteer spots available during each session so sign up early to reserve your ideal time!
