The CHRO Summit is a special program that offers chief HR officers the opportunity to interact with thought-provoking speakers and with one another. Topics will include leadership strategies, game-changing initiatives and emerging issues in higher education. These sessions will challenge your assumptions and help you build a network of colleagues.
Cindy Keaveney is executive vice president and human capital practice leader for Aon Consulting — a global firm. Her portfolio includes talent solutions, talent strategies, and organization performance and implementation. As the economy emerges from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, winning organizations have adopted new strategies and initiatives that have enabled them to overcome their vulnerabilities, enhance their capacity to deal with upcoming challenges and leverage opportunities. In this opening session of the CHRO Summit, Keaveney will explore the intangibles of private sector leaders that provide them with unique insights to position their companies advantageously in their sectors and markets. Are these characteristics and attributes applicable to higher education?
Gary Forsee, president of the University of Missouri System, and former chairman and CEO for Sprint Nextel, will offer his unique insights on the higher education model. He will identify the issues and share the strategies and measures he is undertaking to prepare the University of Missouri System for the future. This session provides the opportunity for attendees to hear from one of the strongest voices in public higher education. With 36 years as a dynamic change leader in the telecommunications industry and his involvement with the University of Missouri System, President Forsee offers a unique and compelling perspective.
What are the unique characteristics, background and experiences that have allowed HR game changers to move their institutions? How has HR been engaged to play the critical role and add value in higher education institution change initiatives? Making a difference is not a matter of chance, but reflects the confidence placed in these individuals. This session, with a “game-changing” CHRO and roundtable discussions, will provide CHRO Summit participants with opportunities to share ideas and put together unique “takeaways.”
Linda Lulli, Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Bryant University
