Without A Script: Improv and Storytelling Skills in HR

In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will learn about and participate in improvisational theater and storytelling skills that can be useful in training and organizational development within higher education. We'll design, present and critique training programs or organizational development interventions which use improv and storytelling techniques as the basis of their design. Determine the applicability of these techniques to assess needs, strategically plan, build teams, enhance learning, increase creativity, establish credibility, build empathy and generate fun at your institution.

Mediation

How do you handle conflict at your institution? This workshop will provide a thorough overview of the mediation process and the different forms of conflict resolution. The session will focus on the characteristics of a good mediator, review how a person prepares for a mediation, and explore the outcome of mediation for the employees and employer. A mock mediation case will also be used.
