Nominations Deadline for the 2009-10 Fiscal Year is March 31, 2010
Purpose
For more than 40 years, CUPA-HR has been honoring excellence in higher education human resources. Our awards recognize service and commitment to CUPA-HR and innovation in the profession. Recipients are nominated by their peers, their regions, their chapters or association leaders.
Nominations for the following awards are to be sent to the national office:
- Donald E. Dickason Award

- Distinguished Service Award

Nominations for the following awards are to be sent to the nominee’s region board:
- Excellence in Human Resource Practices Award

National Awards Nomination Instructions
To nominate a CUPA-HR member institution or an individual HR professional, please use the online nomination forms. On this Web form, you will be asked to include:
- Basic contact information for the nominee and yourself, the nominator;
- A cover letter describing the nominee’s merits for the award; and
- Written answers to questions specific to the award.
Regional Awards Nomination Instructions
CUPA-HR regions honor their members with a variety of regional awards, each with its own name, criteria and nomination process. However, all regions select a regional recipient of CUPA-HR’s Excellence in Human Resource Practices Award. The four regional recipients then become nominees for the national Excellence in Human Resource Practices Award. To learn more about each region’s awards, please visit the following Web sites:
